Moonlight Through The Trees

about

One continuous atmospheric ambient drone.
One note is played throughout the whole piece. As you listen, you start to hear harmonics and textures that are usually hidden.

After rearranging my studio, I found another way of creating these drones live.
More will follow in the near future.

A brief history lesson:
So I had been experimenting with making music from less and less for quite some time. I wondered whether one note could make something satisfying to listen to.

Then, on one particular day, after some bad news, I lay on my couch in almost darkness, pressed record and started playing one note on my guitar with the ebow and just carried on. This brought me peace in that moment. Ghost Harmonics was born there.

While these pieces are relatively straight forward to create (I mean, one note, come on!), I think I need a particular frame of mind to play one note for 40 minutes or so and find all those hidden harmonics and textures. One note sounds huge, somehow.
